Gas Department
INTRODUCTION
PIEDMC- BoD has decided to supply the gas to its industrial consumers at its own arrangements by laying the internal gas infrastructure within different Special Economic Zones (SEZ’s) operated under the umbrella of PIEDMC for the facilitation of its consumers and for effective implementation of One Window Service Centre (OWSC) concept introduced by the Government of Punjab. Subsequently, in 157th Board meeting held on 16.09.2022, BoD- PIEDMC has approved “Gas Distribution & Sales Policy for its consumers” and “Gas Distribution & Sales License” from the competent Authority i.e OGRA has also been accorded accordingly for Quaid-e-Azam Business Park (QABP- SEZ), Sheikhupura & Bhalwal Industrial Estate (BIE- SEZ), Sargodha to ensure the smooth and effective supply of gas to its customers. Since gas supply has been initiated from 23.07.2023 at Bhalwal Industrial Estate (BIE- SEZ), Sargodha and 08.09.2023 at Quiad-e-Azam Business Park (QABP- SEZ), Sheikhupura.

Gas Distribution and Sales License Certificate
Capacity Allocation:
PIEDMC has got allocation from Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Resources (MPNR) and confirmation of Gas from SNGPL against below mentioned SEZ zones.
- Quaid-e-Azam Business Park (QABP- SEZ), Sheikhupura (65 MMCFD gas has been allocated for this SEZ zone and its Internal/ External Gas Infrastructure has been 100% completed).
- Bhalwal Industrial Estate (BIE- SEZ), Sargodha (10 MMCFD gas has been allocated for this SEZ zone and its Internal/ External Gas Infrastructure has been 100% completed).
- Bahawalpur Industrial Estate (BWIE- SEZ), Bahawalpur (20 MMCFD gas has been allocated for this SEZ zone and its Internal Gas Infrastructure has been 100% completed but laying of external infrastructure is in progress).
Available Capacity:
- For Quaid-e-Azam Business Park (QABP- SEZ), Sheikhupura, the gas department has already allocated a capacity of 13.8 MMCFD out of 65 MMCFD to our industrial consumers.
- For Bhalwal Industrial Estate (BIE- SEZ), Sargodha, the gas department has already allocated a capacity of 05 MMCFD out of 10 MMCFD to our industrial consumers and Private Shippers under the OGRA TPA Rules, 2018.
- For Bahawalpur Industrial Estate (BWP- SEZ), Bahawalpur, the gas department has availability of 20 MMCFD gas for its future industrial consumers.
