Lahore, January 12 – Punjab industrial estate development and Management Company approved net metering for Sundar industrial estate. On the directions of Chairman PIEDMC Syed Nabeel Hashmi, Sundar Industrial Estate has started work to install digital electricity meters in the estate. Industrialists will be able to have real-time monitoring of their electricity meters which leads to ensure transparency. Sundar Industrial estate management has initiated pilot projects in 10 industries and after the success of pilot project it will be extended to all 531 industries of the estate. Sundar estate management will soon start process of procuring digital meters as per PPRA rules. While talking to Industrialists Chairman PIEDMC, Syed Nabeel Hashmi said that line losses are less than 1 percent due to best distribution system in Sundar estate, these digital meters will help us to reduce line losses at minimum possible level. Industrialists can check their electricity consumption at any time and compare their used units and bills accordingly. He also said that its worth remembering that sundar estate has underground distribution system and considering its success Quaid e Azam business park is being developed on the same lines.  President Board of Management Sundar Industrial estate Haroon Khan has directed the concerned officers to complete this important project within given time lines.
