Provincial Minister of Industry and Commerce Chaudhry Shafey Hussain visited Sunder Industrial Estate and presided over a briefing session at the PIEDMC head office, the provincial minister also reviewed the production process in the factory. Chairman PIEDMC Javed Iqbal and CEO Ali Muazzam Syed gave a detailed briefing about the ongoing and future development projects and performance of the company. Chairman PIEDMC Javed Iqbal said that in the next 7 years, 11 new industrial estates are planned to be built in different cities of the province. Chaudhry Shafey Hussain directed to submit development plan of Chunian Industrial Estate. While addressing the meeting, Provincial Minister of Industry and Commerce Chaudhry Shafi Hussain said that expediting the process of industrialization in Punjab is the first priority of the government. The industrialization process will be accelerated by the provision of modern industrial infrastructure in the industrial estates, policies will be facilitated to bring new investment into the province. The best facilities should be given to domestic and foreign investors. He further said that there is a wide scope for investment in agriculture, education, health, and other sectors in Punjab. Discussion will be arranged with the federal government to reduce the duty on motors of electric vehicles and solar panels. Minister Industries also planted a sapling in Sunder Industrial Estate in connection with the plantation campaign.
