Punjab Industrial Estates Development and Management Company’s efforts to deliver amenities to the industrialists have come to fruition.

Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority Pakistan has issued license to PIEDMC to supply gas in Quaid-e-Azam Business Park and Bhalwal Industrial Estate.

PIEDMC became the first developer company in Pakistan to be authorized to supply gas.

Now industrialists will no longer have to wait for years to get required gas supply.

PIEDMC has laid gas infrastructure at a cost of Rs 2 billion in Quaid-e-Azam Business Park through which up to 65 MMFCD gas will be supplied.

10 MMFCD gas will be supplied in Bhalwal Industrial Estate.

PIEDMC will provide gas to the industrialists on a single request as per their requirement through one window operations, CEO PIEDMC

Consumption of gas will be billed as per the notified rates of OGRA, Ali Muazzam Syed

Chief Executive Officer Punjab Industrial Estates Development and Management Company Ali Moazzam Syed chaired the meeting of Punjab Special Economic Zone Committee.

The meeting approved to grant special zone enterprise status to 5 companies acquiring industrial plots in the Bhalwal and Vehari Industrial Estates.

Optimus Labortories, Air Med Pvt Ltd, Ushnaz Pharma, Premium Seeds and Moderna Sciences has been approved as SEZ enterprise.

Secretary Committee Amna Faisal Shah, Director PBIT Dr Sohail Saleem and concerned officers of BOI and district administrations were also present.

Multan Industrial Estate

Multan Industrial Estate phase I comprises of 743 acres which was developed in 1980’s, stands as back bone of industrial activities in the city of Multan. This well-planned and developed estate offers a conducive environment for various industries to flourish. It is located at a distance of about 15km south west of the Multan city in a strategic location, it provides easy access to major transportation networks, connecting businesses to domestic and international markets seamlessly through highways, dry ports and airport. In 2004, Government of the Punjab formally handed over the MIE to the PIEDMC in order to revive industrial activity and to upgrade infrastructure. PIEDMC provided modern infrastructure, including well-built roads, utilities, and robust supply chains, ensuring smooth operations for businesses within its premises. Whereas Phase II comprising 667 acres was developed by PIEDMC in 2006. It is facilitating a diverse range of industrial units, catering to a wide array of sectors, such as textiles, manufacturing, food processing, and more. Multan Industrial Estate is led by a Board of Management belongs to private sector representing various industrial segments of the estate. Overall, Multan Industrial Estate stands tall as a catalyst for economic progress, commendably contributing to the industrial development of the region while elevating its position in national GDP.

In 2004, the Government of Punjab (GoP) formally handed over MIE to Punjab Industrial Estates in order to revive industrial activity. An amount of Rs. 100 million was allocated by the GoP for up gradation of the infrastructure and the same amount was contributed by PIEDMC.

Multan Industrial Estate Phase-I Rehabilitation

PIEDMC board has approved the rehabilitation plan of the Multan Industrial Estate Phase-I. A decent budget has been allocated for sewerage, road infrastructure, security gates and other development works.

MULTAN INDUSTRIAL ESTATE PHASE-II

Encouraged by the response of up-gradation work in Phase-I, PIEDMC was assigned task of development of infrastructure work for Phase-II in September 2006.

It is located adjacent to Phase-I at a distance of approximately 17 km south west of Multan City. Phase-II spreads over an area of 667 Acres having 349 plots.

Multan Industrial Estate is led by a Board of Management belonging to private sector representing various industrial segments of the estate and the rest representing the Government.
